Epidemiology of Covid-19 in a Long-Term Care Facility in King County, Washington
Dr. McMichael and colleagues provided a detailed assessment of the persons who became infected with Covid-19 in a long-term care facility in Seattle, Washington.
As of March 18, there were 167 confirmed cases affecting 1010 residents, 50 health care personnel and 16 visitors. Among the elderly residents, the fatality rate was 33.7% vs 6.2% for visitors. No staff members died as a result of the infection.
