Amanda Haidet-Phillips, PhD, Scientific Portfolio Director at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, discusses her organization and its successes funding research to accelerate treatments and cures across the full spectrum of neuromuscular diseases.
Dr. Haidet-Phillips manages basic and translational research portfolios relating to motor and peripheral neuron diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), as well as diseases of the neuromuscular junction.
