Michael Hund, MBA, CEO of Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Partnership (EBRP), talks about the upcoming, 2nd annual Venture into Cures, a digital show featuring a lineup of massive celebrities and stories about EB patients and families. This event will be held November 18, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. EST.

EB is a group of genetic skin diseases that cause the skin to blister and erode very easily. In people with EB, blisters form in response to minor injuries or friction, such as rubbing or scratching. There are four main types of EB (i.e., dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, epidermolysis bullosa simplex, Kindler Syndrome, and junctional epidermolysis bullosa) which are classified based on the depth of blister formation. EB may then be further classified based on severity and specific symptoms, and whether parts of the body other than the skin are affected. A person with any main type of EB may be mildly or severely affected, and the disease can range from being a minor inconvenience requiring modifying activities, to completely disabling and even fatal in some cases.

The goal of Venture into Cures is to raise money to fund research into EB as well as raise awareness for the disease in the general community. This year’s Venture into Cures, which starts November 18, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. PST, is sure to be a huge event as it will feature appearances and performances by:
