Swati Sathe, MD, Medical Director of the CHDI Management/CHDI Foundation, presents an extensive report of Enroll-HD, a global dataset focused on Huntington’s disease (HD) that includes over 20,000 participants.
Enroll-HD, as Dr. Sathe explains, is a multicenter, longitudinal observational study that has enrolled over 20,000 participants worldwide. This participant group includes individuals with HD as well as those at-risk for getting this rare neurodegenerative condition.
The purpose of Enroll-HD is to discover and develop therapies for HD. By collecting standardized data, creating a database, and making this data available to HD researchers, Enroll-HD will accelerate HD research. Researchers, including medical students and young academics, are encouraged to use the free dataset to advance our understanding of this devastating condition.
